Publish from Claude or ChatGPT
HelloSocials has an MCP server (Model Context Protocol). Once connected, Claude or ChatGPT can see your accounts, then create, schedule and publish your posts when you ask: just say what to publish, where and when.
Server URL — https://hello-socials.com/api/mcp
Included in the Pro and Enterprise plans, free trial included.
Claude (claude.ai, desktop and mobile apps)
- Go to Customize › Connectors, then click Add custom connector.
- Name it HelloSocials and enter the URL
https://hello-socials.com/api/mcp, then Add. - Click Connect: a HelloSocials page opens. Sign in if needed, check the requested access and click Allow.
Custom connectors are available on every Claude plan (one on the Free plan). On Team and Enterprise plans, an Owner adds the connector for the organization, then each member clicks Connect.
ChatGPT
- In ChatGPT settings, open Apps (or Plugins, depending on your version) and add a custom MCP server. On some plans, developer mode must be turned on first.
- Enter the URL
https://hello-socials.com/api/mcpand choose OAuth authentication. - Sign in to HelloSocials on the page that opens and click Allow.
ChatGPT asks for your confirmation before every action that writes, such as creating a post.
Claude Code, Cursor and other MCP clients
Without a sign-in page, use an API key created in Settings › API Keys, sent as a Bearer token. With Claude Code:
claude mcp add --transport http hellosocials https://hello-socials.com/api/mcp \
--header "Authorization: Bearer hs_live_xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx"Clients configured with a JSON file (Cursor and others):
{
"mcpServers": {
"hellosocials": {
"url": "https://hello-socials.com/api/mcp",
"headers": { "Authorization": "Bearer hs_live_xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx" }
}
}
}Choosing the target accounts
Name the accounts in your request, as you would to a person: "my Instagram", "the LinkedIn page HelloSocials", "@meetarabic", "X and Threads". The assistant first reads the list of your connected accounts, then targets only those. If a name matches several accounts — two Instagram accounts, for example — HelloSocials refuses and the assistant asks you which one. A post is never sent to an account you did not mention.
Before publishing, the assistant shows you the text, the target accounts (network and name) and the date, and waits for your go-ahead. After creation, it tells you exactly which accounts the post went to.
Images
In ChatGPT, images from the conversation — the ones you attach and the ones ChatGPT generates — are passed to HelloSocials with the post, then copied into your HelloSocials storage. With Claude and the other clients, give a public image link (https): attaching an image to a Claude conversation is not passed to connectors yet.
JPEG, PNG, GIF or WebP, 20 MB max per image, or one MP4 / MOV video up to 50 MB. If an image cannot be retrieved, nothing is created and the assistant is told which one.
Drafts
Ask the assistant to prepare posts "as drafts": they are saved in HelloSocials without being published, in Posts › Drafts. Open one, adjust it if needed, choose the date and click Schedule.
Examples of requests
- “Which accounts are connected to HelloSocials?”
- “Write a LinkedIn post announcing our new feature and schedule it on the HelloSocials page tomorrow at 9:30 a.m.”
- “Publish this text on my Instagram meetarabic with this image: https://…/photo.jpg”
- “Same message on X and Threads, but shorten it for X.”
- “Did yesterday's post go out everywhere?”
- “Prepare three LinkedIn posts for next week as drafts.”
Available tools
| list_accounts | Lists your connected accounts (network, name, handle, connection status). |
| create_post | Creates a post on the accounts you name, published now, at a given date, or saved as a draft: text, images or one video, Instagram / Facebook format, per-account captions, TikTok settings. |
| get_post | Gives the result of a post, account by account (published, failed and why, pending). |
| list_posts | Lists your upcoming posts, your drafts or your most recent posts. |
The same rules as the REST API apply: media required for Instagram, TikTok and Pinterest, character limits per network, images per network. See the API reference.
Security and revocation
The assistant acts only on your HelloSocials account, with your connected accounts, and never sees your social network passwords or tokens. Each connection appears in Settings › API Keys (for example "Claude (MCP)"): revoke it there to cut access immediately.
