What makes a thread hold together
A thread isn't an article cut into pieces. Each tweet is seen separately and has to stand alone while making you want to continue. Mechanical splitting produces segments that stop mid-idea — that's where readers drop off.
The first tweet carries most of the weight. It's the only one that appears in feeds, the only one that gets reshared, and it decides whether the rest is read at all. It should contain the full promise, not just an introduction.
